24-year-old Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku has stated that he sees his future away from Goodison Park, as he aims to win league titles and play in Champions League.
The much wanted striker rocked the Merseyside club after confirming he wasn’t going to be signing a contract extension at the end of the season, throwing a number of clubs into the queue to sign him.
Lukaku’s agent, Mini Raiola is rumored to be talking with clubs like Manchester United, but it is said that the player himself fancies moving back to Chelsea.
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has switched his attention to the powerful striker, as the club have dumped their pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker, Antoine Griezmann, as his club have failed to rescind their transfer ban.
However, Lukaku is said to have reservations about moving to Old Trafford to play for the Portuguese, given the manager’s lack of belief in him at Chelsea, and he believes he has unfinished business at Chelsea, as he is known to be a big fan of the club, and lists Didier Drogba as his childhood role model.
Speaking recently, Lukaku said, “I know what’s going on, but I let my agent finish things,” he said.
“In the end I do take the decision. I want to improve and enhance myself.
“We are in talks with the club. I want to play in the Champions League, and try to win the Premier League a few times.” he added.
Lukaku scored 25 goals in 37 Premier League appearances for Everton last season.
