Real Madrid Alvaro Morata is reportedly keen on re-joining Antonio Conte at Chelsea this summer despite a big money offer from Italian giants AC Milan, according to report from Daily Star.
The 24-year-old is frustrated with his lack of playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu, having started only 14 league games this season with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of him in the pecking order.
He has been consistently linked with a move away from the La Liga champions with Man United also reported to be interested in his services.
But while that has cooled down, La Gazzeta dello Sport claimed AC Milan are interested in bringing him to the San Siro and will wait till after the Champions League final on Saturday before launching a
bid of £52 million for him, an amount which, obviously, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will be more than willing to accept as it is twice of what they paid to re-sign him from Juventus.
However, it is understood that the player would have none of that as he is not interested in returning to Italy, and would prefer to move to Stamford Bridge instead where he already has am “unsigned agreement” with Chelsea, according to Diario Gol.
Antonio Conte has reportedly told Chlesea hierarchy he wants the Spanish attacker at the London club having worked together at Juventus and the Blues have offered Real £35 million which Perez is reluctant
to accept.
He has threatened to stay put at Real Madrid should the move to the Premier League champions falls through. His current contract expires in the next four years.
Morata has been a hero of the Los Blancos outfit, he has contributed greatly to the club, helping them left the La Liga title twice and the Champions League once.
