Monoca highly-rated ace snub contract talks because of Arsenal interest

Report in Metro claim France international midfielder Thomas Lemar is holding off talks over a new contract with Monaco as he is waiting to confirm if Arsenal will make a move or show interest in him.

Lemar is left with three years on his current deal with the Ligue 1 giant but the latest report in the media claim is holding out to see if manager Arsene Wenger will make a move to sign him.

It was believed that Lemar was open to complete a move to join Arsenal this summer, even though the North London club failed to make it to the Premier League top four which means they will be limited to play Champions League football next season.

 

Report further claim that Monaco are open to sell the 21-year-old ace but only if they are been offered as much as €30 million (£26m).

Lemar performance brilliantly under Monaco last season, and his dazzling footwork caught the attention of some host of clubs in the Premier league with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are all showing a keen interest.
