Andre Wisdom has quit Liverpool to join Derby County, it was announced on Monday. The Championship club announced on their official website and social media pages that they have wrapped up the transfer of the 24 year-old after he completed a medical.
Derby announced that Wisdom has penned a four year deal that runs till 2021 after agreeing personal terms before he went on holiday. The transfer fee was undisclosed but the Derby Telegraph have claimed it is an initial £2 million rising to a potential £4.5 million.
Wisdom can play as a centre back and a right back and has been at the club since 14 playing through their ranks after joining from Bradford academy. Wisdom made his Liverpool debut under Brendan Rodgers but was only able to play 22 times in five years for the Mersey side club.
He has severally been loaned out to clubs both in the EPL and outside of England. Playing for clubs like Derby County, West-Brom, Norwich and Red Bull Salzburg where he played 25 matches in all competition last season.
The former England under 21 international had an outstanding period during his loan spell at Pride park back in 2013-2014 season and will be hoping to help his new club gain promotion to the top flight of English Football.
