Liverpool fans could be in for some exciting news following reports that their talisman Saido Mane could make the return to full training in the coming week.
The Senegalese international debut season at the club came to an abrupt end last season after suffering a knee injury in the Merseyside derby win over Everton at Anfield in April.
And after the completion of his rehabilitation, Liverpool Echo is reporting that the forward will be part of the club’s pre-season tours.
However, matches against Tranmere Rovers next week Wednesday and Wigan Athletic two days after will come too soon for him but he will be available for the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong.
The 25-year-old, who joined from Southampton last summer in a club record deal, had a brilliant debut season with Liverpool in which he formed a strong attacking force with Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.
He netted 13 goals and assisted another six before the injury, helping his side to return to the Champions League.
The fans will be hoping he is fully fit at the start of the new season, being fully aware of the success his availability will bring to the club.
