Having lost the race to sign Belgium international striker Romeru Lukaku to Manchester United, Chelsea have reportedly shifted their attention Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata.
According to the Daily star, the Stamford Bridge outfit are set to make huge offer to the Los Blancos for Morata services.
The Spaniard was originally tipped to join Chelsea, but it was believed that the Blues chiefs wanted a reunion with Lukaku after selling him to Everton in 2014 summer.
It was also thought that Madrid are willing to sell Morata, but their asking fee is what has kept suitor from signing him. Madrid currently value the 24-year old striker at £78 million according to the Metro.
Morata is reportedly eager to leave Santiago Bernabeu for first team football, in other to get a place in Spain national team as Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup approaches.
The former Juventus hit man fell down the pecking order in Zinedine Zidane starting line-up last season, as the French tactician rates Isco and upcoming talent Marco Asensio ahead of him.
However, Morata was still able to net 20 goals for the Los Blancos with his limited game time, as they won the La Liga title and the prestigious UEFA Champions League Cup.
