Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on a transfer that will see controversial Spanish striker, Diego Costa leave the West London outfit.
The 28-year-old has been influential in Chelsea’s title triumph, but has been rumored to be keen on a move to either former club, Atletico Madrid or China. The 47-year-old Italian manager has been rumored to be sick and tired of all the talk linking Costa with an exit from the club, and will not fight to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
The Times reported that Conte is prepared to use the potential money from his transfer to finance the capture of former Chelsea forward, Romelu Lukaku. The 24 year old Belgian has impressed yet again at Goodison Park and is reportedly keen to play once again for the Premier league champions, after struggling as a teenager before a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge back in 2014.
Costa, who scored 14 times before the New Year, struggled to recapture his best form after having his head turned with a big money offer from Chinese club, Tianjian Quanjian.
Costa has divided opinion throughout his time at Chelsea, as his confrontational style has led to a lot of criticism and increased scrutiny about his ability.
He has led Chelsea to two Premier League titles in 3 years. He is a snarling beast, capable of genius and madness in equal measure. He scored 20 goals this season, and created a further six, generating 15 points for Chelsea with his contribution, more than any player in the division.
