With the move of France internal Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal edge closer, Lyon are already in the market in search for a new striker to come replace the 28-goals in 30 appearances hitman.
It no doubt that the Ligue 1 giant will have to spend a bit huge if they want to get a quality like Lacazette, with Chelsea Bertrand Traore said to be the man behind this, then I don’t think they should be facing any problem in getting a perfect replacement for Lacazette.
A report from Metro claim, Lyon are close in signing Traore from Chelsea as the speculation surrounding the future of Lacazette with them remains very uncertain.
Traore spent majority of Last season on loan with Ajax where his performance was nothing short brilliant, netting 16 goals in 32 games and also helping then qualify for the Europe League finals.
Despite his dazzling performance, the Burkina Faso international still fail to secure a place in Antoine Conte’s squad, so he is on the verge of completing a move to Lyon to go replace Lacazette who is likely to complete a move to Arsenal this summer. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas as quoted by Metro:
‘We want to bring Bertrand Traore to the club,’
‘There are advanced talks there, but many clubs are interested. We absolutely want to do the deal.’
Lacazette, 26, agreed to seal a move to Atletico Madrid this summer but a move was not later finalize as the La Liga giant got banned from signing any player officially until January.
The uncertainty of him joining Atletico has triggered manager Arsene Wenger to try his luck again, after he failed to complete a move for him last summer transfer window.
Now it looks Arsenal have a chance of landing him this time, as it was thought that Emirates is his possible destination.
The France international added some salt to the rumours has he confirmed that he is pleased with playing at the Europa League next term.
Watching Lacazette playing in so many occasions confirms he will be another Robin Van Persie If he completes a move to join Arsenal, and his brilliant finish will be a perfect foil with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey in the midfield.
