Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is keen on returning to the Stamford Bridge this summer, though he is also wanted by Man United boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also interested in re-signing the player sold by Mourinho during his second spell with the Blues and a world-record bid to the tune of £100 million could be on the cards.
It thought that Chelsea have already reach an agreement with Everton , over a possible move this summer transfer window.
The Belgian international was sent on loan spells before finally sealing the move to Everton in July 2014. Lukaku himself has confirmed that he could return to the Premier League champions this summer after
saying that “staying at Everton is no longer an option for next season”.
Despite failing to impress at Chelsea, he has become a key member of the Everton squad, reaching up to 20 and above in goals scored in the last three seasons. He scored 25 league goals for the Toffee last season.
But as a return to Chelsea looks more possible by the day, eyebrows are being raised if the forward would not flop on his return to the club.
The 24-year-old is blessed with speed, physicality, finishing and aerial ability but there are questions over his hold-up ability and link-up play, attributes Chelsea have enjoyed in Diego Costa.
Besides, this is young player who has not featured in the Champions League before and coming with such an hefty price tag will definitely put pressure on him to live up to that price.
Will he be able to get the better of defence from clubs like Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich? It is left to see if Lukaku would prove his critics.
