Croatian winger, Ivan Perisic is currently in talks over a new contract with Inter Milan and have no plans to sell to Manchester United, reports the Dailystar. Inter Milan sporting director, Piero Ausilio is confident winger Ivan Perisic will remain with the Italian side for the upcoming season. The Croatian has been linked with a move to the Red devils all summer with the Special one keen to add width to his side. United had an initial bid of £36million rejected for the player with Inter Milan reportedly holding out for a £50million price tag before an agreement can be reached.
However, United have cooled their interest in the player after been stunned by the price tag of the Croatian. With the Premier League set to kickstart in a week, Mourinho would love to have all his summer targets in place for the upcoming campaign after signing the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic. The Special one might have to look elsewhere with the Italian outfit already in talks with the player over a new contract.
Inter Milan sporting director, Piero Ausilio as quoted said,
“[Perisic] is an important player and we are currently discussing a new contract with him”
The 28-year-old was in sensational form last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions. If he eventually signs a new contract with the Nerazurri, he will be key in their hunt for a Champions league spot in the Serie A this season.
