Former Chelsea player, Romelu Lukaku is bent on returning to Stamford Bridge, as he looks to achieve a long standing dream of leading the line for the Premier League champions.
The 23-year-old Belgian has been the subject of somewhat of a bidding war between Chelsea and Manchester United, but it would seem the hotshot striker wants to join the Chelsea Juggernaut rather than seeking a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The Sun believes the player will rather join Chelsea as there is no question about whether he will play, and he is still bitter at Jose not giving him a look in earlier in his career.
Lukaku who joined Chelsea as a teenager back in 2011, but struggled for game time and consistency in his three years at the club, has grown to become one of the best strikers in England, as his 25 goals this season is second only to Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Antonio Conte is resigned to losing Diego Costa, whose head has been turned by reports of a mega move to China, and is looking to sign Lukaku, though the deal won’t come cheap. On the other hand, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho believes Lukaku has improved his overall play since he sanctioned a £28m move to Goodison Park whilst in charge of Chelsea in 2014.
The Belgian is a powerful, highly technical player who is adept at brushing off defenders and will constitute a menace all day long.
