Arsene Wenger is not resting on his oars as he is making efforts to transform his team ahead of the new season. And in the light of that, the Gunners boss want to sign a number of top players that will help realize that.
After securing the signature of Alexnadre Lacazette from Lyon, Wenger is still interested in bringing A Monaco star Kylian Mbappe to the Emirates, according to reports.
The French boss reportedly wants the teenage sensation to partner new recruits Lacazette in the Gunners’ final third. The 18-year-old has attracted interests from big clubs in Europe following his exploits with Moncao that resulted in them winning the Ligue 1 last season and reaching the last four stage of the Champions League.
Wenger, being a huge fan of the forward, made a failed attempt to sign him last summer and he is keen on signing him this summer and has contacted Mbappe and Monaco.
There have been reports that PSG are also keeping a close tab on him and are ready to price him away from Monaco but the French champion may prefer selling him abroad.
Real Madrid too was mentioned as another club that are interested in his services and have reportedly met with the player.
But football.london reports that Wenger is leaving on stone upturned and believes the youngster could still end up at Arsenal next season.
