A report in the media claim AS Roma sporting director as made it known that Radja Nainggolan will be departing from the club this summer transfer window.
The powerful box-to-box midfielder has been link with a move to join Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks, as both clubs see the Belgian as a good fit in their respective team.
It was formerly thought by the former Sevilla director insisted Nainggolan will not leave the Serie A giants this summer having lost key player, Mohamed Salah to Liverpool.
When quizzed on whether Nainggolan would remain with the Giallorossi at a press conference, Monchi said:
“Yes (he will stay). I think we’ve seen the last of the big departures from our club.
“Now it’s time to build a team, which will be supplemented with potential purchases in the transfer market.”
The 29-year-old Belgium international joined Roma in 2014 from Cagliari and has since went on to become a regular starter for the Serie A club.
The experienced midfielder scored a total of 15 goals in 46 appearances for Roma last season.
Although a move for Nainggolan may not be possible this summer, as reports have it that Chelsea have signed German defender Antonio Rudiger from Roma.
Rudiger’s representative reportedly flown to London during the weekend to finalize Rudiger’s move to Stamford Bridge.
