Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have been dealt a huge transfer blow after Bosnian defender, Sead Kolasinac was confirmed to be joining Arsenal in the summer following the expiration of his contract at Schalke 04, according to report from Corriere Dello
The 23-year-old will join The Gunners on a free transfer after rejecting the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen Klopp had identified the left back, also adept at playing in the centre of defence to be first choice in his left back position, with midfielder, James Milner playing there all season without really convincing while Alberto Moreno has been out of form all year.
Sky Sports broke the news earlier this week that Kolasinac will join the North London giants, though Arsenal have yet to release official confirmation of the deal while Telegraph believes the deal is a four year contract.
Klopp had identified the player to be part of his squad next season, as that department remains a major weak link for The Reds, and with a potential return to the Champions League next season, the 18 time league winners will need all the quality they can muster.
Although, Liverpool have been reportedly signed Hull City left back, Andrew Robertson for next season but there are concerns concerning a player who has been consistent in a team that has conceded the most goals in the division, which stands at a whopping 73.
Kolasinac is a left back who is famed for his excellent tackling, aerial ability and immaculate reading of the game, and has spent his entire career in Gelsenkirchen with Schalke 04.
